During the No Man's Land event, Gearhead competes for control of Gotham after it is ravaged by an earthquake, during which he allies with the thug Tommy Mangles.[10][11][12] The two are later defeated by Robin and arrested.[13]

Gearhead appears in the miniseries Rush City, where he is physically attached to his car and allies with Arthur Bellingame before being defeated by Rush and Black Canary.[14][15][16]

During the Infinite Crisis storyline, Gearhead joins Alexander Luthor Jr.'s Secret Society of Super Villains.[17]
